"Have you ever wandered lonely through the woods?" (a verse from a favorite Brandy Carlisle song of mine) This scent walks you to the trees, to the forest, to the warm rustic woods. Pear, lily of the valley and rose with warm amber and vanilla will keep you wandering a bit longer.
About our Beeswax Candles
About our Beeswax Candles
About Wood + Honey Beeswax Candles -
- Each candle is hand poured and handcrafted from start to finish.
- Made from 100% pure beeswax that has been filtered without harsh chemicals or bleaches.
- Our beeswax is sustainably sourced from a 4th generation beekeeper family who is passionate about bee health and preservation.
- Our 100% pure beeswax is free from chemicals, additives, and impurities to create the most amazing base for our candles.
- Because beeswax is such a hard wax and typically struggles to burn well in vessels, we blend our pure beeswax, with a smidge of beeswax cocoa cream - a completely toxin-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, gluten-free wax, that allows the 100% pure beeswax to soften just enough, to burn beautifully in our vessels and avoid tunneling.
- Wood wicks come from untreated natural wood with lead free bases.
- All of our candles are scented with toxin-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, gluten-free, skin-safe, and cruelty-free (leaping bunny compliant) fragrance oils.
- Free from all the ingredients found on California Prop 65 list while also avoiding 5 main hazard groups to include: Carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, organ toxins and acute toxins.
Feel free to check out our FAQs for more information.
We are proud to offer candles that are non-toxic and free from all of the above mentioned “nasties” that we want to avoid. Nothing but the cleanest burn for you and yours.
Recommended Burning Instructions
Recommended Burning Instructions
- Beeswax is a very hard wax and burns very hot and slow. These candles should last you for a while.
- Wood wick is cut to appropriate height when new. Make sure the wick is kept to about a 1/4" before lighting. Too high and the flame can get smokey and a little wild, too low and it may suffocate in the pool of wax.
- Before relighting your candle each time, be sure to break off some of the previously burnt wick. This will help prevent smoking and assist in ideal flame height.
- It is not uncommon to hear a soft crackling sound while burning, which is why wood wicks are so cool.
- Recommended burn time of at least 2 to 3 hours to avoid tunneling.
- Tunneling may occur initially until a big enough wax pool is made, and the glass begins to warm.
- Cracking in the wax near the wick is common due to the fast cooling time and hard nature of beeswax.
- Be patient when lighting. DO NOT extinguish with water.
- DO NOT replace lid until candle has cooled completely.
- DO NOT BURN FOR MORE THAN 4 HOURS AT A TIME.
- Discontinue use if glass is broken or cracked.
- DO NOT BURN when candle has a 1/2" of wax or less.
