Ahhh winter...NOT my favorite season whatsoever. I am not a fan of the cold at all
and snow?...no thanks. But there is something about the smell in the air on a cold
wintery night that definitely resonates with me. There is this calm and peacefulness that floats through the air that just sorta soothes the SOUL. The world gets quiet for a moment, it gets cozy, and all is well.
Winter Solstice is that late night moonlit walk in the snow on the darkest of nights. Cold, crisp air in an open field surrounded by tall fir and spruce trees. Hints of trees but more so notes of berries, lavender, cedar, musk and oak moss finish off this fresh wintery mix.
If the winter season had a smell, this would be it.
Recommended Burning Instructions
Recommended Burning Instructions
- Beeswax is a very hard wax and burns very hot and slow. These candles should last you for a while.
- Wood wick is cut to appropriate height when new. Make sure the wick is kept to about a 1/4" before lighting. Too high and the flame can get smokey and a little wild, too low and it may suffocate in the pool of wax.
- Before relighting your candle each time, be sure to break off some of the previously burnt wick. This will help prevent smoking and assist in ideal flame height.
- It is not uncommon to hear a soft crackling sound while burning, which is why wood wicks are so cool.
- Recommended burn time of at least 2 to 3 hours to avoid tunneling.
- Tunneling may occur initially until a big enough wax pool is made, and the glass begins to warm.
- Cracking in the wax near the wick is common due to the fast cooling time and hard nature of beeswax.
- Be patient when lighting. DO NOT extinguish with water.
- DO NOT replace lid until candle has cooled completely.
- DO NOT BURN FOR MORE THAN 4 HOURS AT A TIME.
- Discontinue use if glass is broken or cracked.
- DO NOT BURN when candle has a 1/2" of wax or less.
