Red Lion ~ Features solid bright red flowers. Little to no variation in color. Wrapped in a rustic burlap dressing, jute tie and ribbon, complete with care instructions and pine wood disk to set it on while it grows.
Our unique beeswax hand-dipped Amaryllis Flower Bulbs make for the perfect gift throughout the year.
They require no water or soil to grow and bloom. Our bulbs have been hydrated and then dipped in our beautiful pure beeswax to seal in moisture and the energy needed to blossom. The bulb should be ready to flower in 5-6 weeks depending.
A simple and beautiful indoor flower to enjoy any time of year.
Care Instructions:
- Place the Beeswax Amaryllis Bulb in a warm bright area (roughly 60-70 degrees) Avoiding direct sunlight.
- Rotate the bulb periodically to encourage the plant to grow straight.
- Bulb can remain in burlap dressing or it can be removed - completely up to you.
- Keep bulb on the provided pine wood disk or any protected surface of your choosing.
CAUTION: NOT FOR HUMAN OR PET CONSUMPTION. KEEP AWAY FROM PETS AND CHILDREN.
Side Note on replanting the bulb once it's bloomed ~
A worthy question and one I'm sure to receive, but full disclosure is that I have yet to try replanting the bulb after it has bloomed because I only began dabbling with these beauties in November, so have not had the opportunity yet to see how they do replanted in soil. The mighty internets and the all knowing Google, say it is possible with various ways and suggestions on how to do so. For now, I recommend researching on your own if you wish to replant the bulb again, in theory, it should be able to transplant and re-bloom. I will be sure to update and offer recommendations here, when I have the opportunity plant mine in the warmer months ahead. Cheers and happy planting!
Recommended Burning Instructions
Recommended Burning Instructions
- Beeswax is a very hard wax and burns very hot and slow. These candles should last you for a while.
- Wood wick is cut to appropriate height when new. Make sure the wick is kept to about a 1/4" before lighting. Too high and the flame can get smokey and a little wild, too low and it may suffocate in the pool of wax.
- Before relighting your candle each time, be sure to break off some of the previously burnt wick. This will help prevent smoking and assist in ideal flame height.
- It is not uncommon to hear a soft crackling sound while burning, which is why wood wicks are so cool.
- Recommended burn time of at least 2 to 3 hours to avoid tunneling.
- Tunneling may occur initially until a big enough wax pool is made, and the glass begins to warm.
- Cracking in the wax near the wick is common due to the fast cooling time and hard nature of beeswax.
- Be patient when lighting. DO NOT extinguish with water.
- DO NOT replace lid until candle has cooled completely.
- DO NOT BURN FOR MORE THAN 4 HOURS AT A TIME.
- Discontinue use if glass is broken or cracked.
- DO NOT BURN when candle has a 1/2" of wax or less.
